LATH part of winning collaboration to deliver on $300 Million USAID Project in Global Health Workforce Systems Strengthening

LATH is a partner organisation on the recently awarded USAID 5-year global cooperative agreement to improve the quality of health services in the developing world by strengthening the health care workforce. The Human Resources for Health and Quality Services (HRHQS) Project, led by Intrahealth, will increase the quantity and quality of available health workers and services by working with global organisations and developing country institutions to test and roll out successful workforce planning, retention, recruitment, training and deployment interventions.   LATH, as a core team member, will participate in the following areas: global leadership; HRH policy and planning; HRH performance support systems; knowledge generation and dissemination.

The HRHQS Project builds on the foundation established by USAID’s investment in the Capacity Project, a 5 year global initiative, also led by Intrahealth, which worked in 47 countries around the globe to strengthen health systems and workforce planning, development and performance support.
