Russell holds a BSc Hons degree in Biomedical Science and an MSc in Medical Microbiology.
As a Laboratory Systems Specialist for LATH, Russell is a technical resource and consultant for all aspects of laboratory systems strengthening and is responsible for business development and marketing in this area. He is also responsible for the Category 3 TB laboratory at LSTM and is involved in research and teaching at LSTM.
He has worked as a laboratory manager in Malawi and previously as a biomedical scientist in the UK National Health Service.
Russell Dacombe is currently based in Malawi.
