Carmen Maroto Camino
Senior Technical Specialist Public Health
After ten years dedicated to clinical work in the Spanish Public Health System, Carmen transferred to international public health. Since 1992, she has held assignments for the WHO and international NGOs, such as Medecins Sans Frontieres and the International Rescue Committee. In these posts, Carmen has worked in emergencies and post conflict settings, focusing on reproductive health, primary healthcare and surveillance and control of infectious diseases.
Carmen studied Medicine in Madrid (Spain), specializing in Intensive Care Medicine. She has also studied Tropical Medicine and obtained an MSc in Health Planning from London University in 1995.
