Current post: Director of the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine. Previously Professor of Insect Molecular Biology and Director of Research for Biosciences and Preclinical Sciences, University of Cardiff and before that Senior Lecturer and Royal Society Junior Fellow at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
Academic interests include the control of vector borne tropical diseases. Outside work interests, squash, Arabian horses and stock market investment.
